The Massive Gamble on How I Earned My Internship at Kinsei Sangyo

Papop

It was a day where the sky was calm and Chiang Mai's atmosphere is lively. Under those shining stars, there are some students sitting at the table of an All-you-can-eat buffet Moo-krata. I made a life-changing decision. I was going to Japan. And once I, Papop, commit to a goal, there is no going back.
I started from applying and studying Japanese with LICMU's JALESEA scholarship (see this post) for 2 years. However, I only have one year to prepare. So I have to study a lot on my own.
Then, I won the election to become the Vice President of Chiang Mai University Student Union 2025. Even though it may seem tiring to aim for this scholarship while also studying in ISNE and working in that position, I still grab the opportunity and try to do my best.

Not so long after that, I applied for The 31st Tri-U International Conference and Symposium at Mie University, Japan in order to get the first-hand experience. I have to submit a research paper with Aj. Navadon as our side projects along with Sampao—my partner. It was a great experience doing the first research at the age of 20, but also exhausting, too. We spent around 1 month just for finding the topic we can agree on. Then, two of us spend restless night together to finish our paper. With the help from Aj. Navadon and Sampao, the research paper was finished right before the deadline and ours was chosen.
The experience of Japan at the Tri-U conference really makes me interested more in Japan. I get to travel to many places; Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, and Mie. At the last day, while I was sitting on a train with the teachers, I said:
I have to be back here in Japan as an intern student.
However, this opportunity is a high-risk, high-reward for me. As an ISNE student, I had to make a choice between: sticking to my safe plan of 3-month internship or do Cybersecurity, or risk all by switching to 6-month cooperative track just to be eligible for this Japan scholarship. All of my friends were shocked on my decision, but I insist tell them that
If I couldn't get this scholarship, I will abandon the co-op plan and go back to internship, even if it could ruin my study plan.
November hits, and as soon as CM-IES has posted the poster for Kinsei Sangyo Co., Ltd. x CMU Intership. I spent the last week to tailor up my resume and create my resume website. It is not really hard to build up the website as an ISNE student as you have worked a lot during coursework. So the website finished fast.
After I submitted all the document, I have to study a lot on the company's technology and their life before the interview. It is seemed to be so hard to find information about the company right?
Say no more, here is my main source for Kinsei Sangyo Co., Ltd. Research:

She is P'Charlotte (Airi), the previous intern student from ISNE—my senior who went for the same program. She uploads many videos and life during internship that could be beneficial for me to study. You can go follow her via this link (@uangpueng)
At that point, I am more than ready to give this chance the opportunity. I went into the interview with confidence and got the opportunity.
Looking back to the path, it was really worth it. As I am packing my bag, I realize that my life is going to be different like night and day. However, I am more excited than scared to explore the first step of my dream. Now I wish me and everyone for the good luck. Every decision you made will always end up or lead you to the new chances.
For the next blog, I will write a step-by-step for you who wanted to follow the same dream. Stay Tuned!
