Privacy Policy

This is a personal blog. I want to be straightforward about what data I collect, why, and how you can ask me to remove it.

1. What I Collect

I only collect data you voluntarily provide through these features:

●Newsletter subscription — Your email address. Used only to send blog updates. You can unsubscribe any time.
●Contact form — Your name, email, subject, and message. Used only to reply to you.
●AskPapop (questions) — Your question text and an optional display name. Published publicly on the post.
●Message in a Bottle — Your message and an optional "from where" note. May be featured on the site.
●Page views — A simple view count per post. No IP addresses or identifiers are stored.
●Emoji reactions — Which emoji was clicked and on which post. No identifying information is stored.

2. Where Data Is Stored

This site uses third-party services. By using the site you agree to their respective privacy policies:

●Firebase / Firestore (Google) — All user-submitted content (subscriptions, contacts, questions, bottles, reactions, views) is stored here.
●Cloudinary — Blog post images are hosted here.

I do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other party.

3. Cookies

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie used is an httpOnly session cookie set when an admin logs in — it is never set for regular visitors.

4. How Long Data Is Kept

Data is kept until you ask me to delete it, or until I decide to clean up the database — whichever comes first. There is no automatic expiry.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data you submitted. To exercise any of these rights, email me and I will respond within 30 days:

These rights are granted under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Even if neither law directly applies to you, I will honour the request.

6. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child submitted data here, please contact me and I will delete it promptly.

7. Changes to This Policy

If I make significant changes, I will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
